12 Nicholson needle files, USA made.   Includes the following 4″ OAL files: #2 feather (1 flat damaged), #2 triangle tapered, #2 flat tapered, #2 round tapered (tip broke off), #0 triangle tapered, #0 square tapered, #4 flat tapered, #4 flat tapered (tip broke off), #4 barrette, #4 square tapered (tip broke off), #0 knife (tip modified), plus a 6″OAL #4 barrette (tip modified).

Used condition but clean, sharp, with plenty of life left.

Swiss style needle files and riffler files use a system of 00, 0, 2, 4, & 6 for the coarsness of the teeth with 00 bing the coarsest and 6 the finest.

Any file will work with steel, aluminum, wood, etc., though the finer toothed ones will tend to load up the teeth more especially with softer materials like wood or alluminum.

Start with a coarse file and if you like the surface finish you are done. If not, go to the next finer one, etc. Just like using sandpaper.
